The Sapersteins had much bigger things in mind for the site, though. Situated at the end of a mile-long driveway on a colossal 123-acre lot at 2940 Kuehner Dr., the locale is so massive and grand, it truly has to be seen to be believed! Completed in 2004, the property was the brainchild of billionaire Metro Networks founder David Saperstein and his second wife, Suzanne, who purchased what was then a “run-down ranch” with a small 1920s-era house in 2000. So prolific is the site, in fact, that it has played William Devane’s small-screen home not once but twice, most recently in Freevee’s new “Bosch” spinoff, “Bosch: Legacy.” Case in point – Hummingbird Nest Ranch, a sprawling Spanish-style compound nestled north of the 118 Freeway in the Simi Valley town of Santa Susana that has been featured in hundreds upon hundreds of movies and television shows throughout the years. And that’s just to name a few! The same can also be said for locations, with many SoCal locales being reused repeatedly onscreen in myriad productions.

I turned to Pinterest and Instagram for all my wedding day dream inspo, and worked tirelessly with my vendors to bring my interpretation of them to life. We really wanted our wedding to feel magical. It made for a very entertaining moment, and one neither us nor our guests will forget. Both of us had written from the heart, but also mixed things up with some inside jokes. We read our vows to each other out loud during the ceremony.

It was such a beautiful property with plenty of greenery and beautiful architecture. Hummingbird Nest Ranch checked all the boxes. They each chose which style they wanted to wear which made it extra special.

All the dresses were the same color, but different style. I loved the concept of bridesmaids in Ivory, because it was bold and different. My bridesmaids wore Ivory dresses by Katie May Collection. I had tried on many other gowns by amazing designers, but none of them made me feel as beautiful as this one did. Lauren looked positively stunning in her long-sleeve Galia Lahav gown, and we love that her girls were also dressed in white! We’re feeling grateful the talented Jordan Voth was there to capture all of the magic and sweet, emotional moments. If chic bridal style is what you’re looking for, look no further than this crew.
